What comes first to your mind thinking of Education in gardens?

School gardens are far from the only institutions working in the context of education in gardens. Green classrooms, theme gardens – the projects are as plenty and various, as there are different shades of green. In cooperation with the International Garden Exhibition Berlin 2017 six international school gardens have been launched to have exemplary school gardens from all over the world.

We would like to create a platform presenting various experiences from different transnational projects, working in the context of education in gardens.

Was fällt Ihnen zuerst ein, wenn Sie an Bildungsgärten denken?

Neben Schulgärten gibt es weitere Gärten, die explizit im Kontext einer nachhaltigen Bildungsarbeit stehen, z.B. Gärten an Bildungseinrichtungen und thematische ausgerichtete Gartenprojekte. Im Rahmen der Internationalen Gartenausstellung Berlin 2017 werden modellhaft internationale Schulgärten mit Beispielen aus Costa Rica, Kuba, Marokko, Kenia, Äthiopien und den Philippinen im IGA-Campus gezeigt.
Wir freuen uns auf weitere Projekte und Ideen, die globale Erfahrungen im Zusammenhang von Gärten und Bildung zeigen und präsentieren sie gerne in unserem Blog.
